Once there was a team, The 2011 Minnesota Twins
It was June 1st and they couldn't get wins.
But, along came a guy by the name of Ben Revere
not only was he fast, he brought a lot of cheer.
On June 2nd they were 20 games below .500 and 16 1/2 games back
We were having issues winning game, scoring runs is what they lack.
That guy Ben Revere, this wasn't his first time this year with the Twins.
But, this time when he came he brought lots of wins.
It was now July 20th and the Twins had made a run,
Joe Nathan returned and was throwing 94 according to the gun.
Not only was there Nathan, there was Glen Perkins too.
He comes in and strikes out everyone out of the blue.
During this streak there was some very funny plays
and Scott Baker racked up a lot of K's.
It was the night of July 15th and guess who was up to bat once again?
You got Ben Revere and he was looking for a win.
It wasn't a game winner, but he hit the ball over the right fielders head.
Ben rounded second, tumbled and ran to third, he was so tired I think he wanted to go to bed.
He made it safely and everyone shared a smile.
It looked like he just ran a mile.
So now the Twins have found a young man by the name of Ben Revere.
Not only could he run, he brought lots of cheer!
